    Some Pictures From The Weekend...

    Hello Doxaholics,

Just wanted to share some pictures from the weekend...relaxing at home after a day of diving and then heading to San Diego for a few hours visiting the maritime museum down on the harbor. A few points:
    1. The artwork is from Richard DeRosset - Cussler fans will know that name as the man whose paintings hang in Admiral Sandecker's office, as well as being the artist Clive commissioned for some of his paintings...
    2. The first sailing ship was used in the film "Master and Commander" with Russell Crowe
    3. The second sailing ship is the "Star of India" which has been on the seas since the 1880's
    4. The submarine is a real one, donated by Russia. It's not nuclear.

My 750T Pro is definitely looking worn and broken in!

    Hope you guys enjoy!

    Cheers,

    Avi

Great tall ship pics and love the Wabi on the Pro. Everyone knows these babies are born to be worn.

Man, you are making me homesick for San Diego!

I was just down at the waterfront in January checking out those same ships. I was there with my mom and sister to eat at Anthony's. My neighbors growing up were Ghios, the founders and owners. Best squid steak sandwiches around :)

I grew up in San Diego and sure do miss home sometimes.

Great shots - they make me homesick for the sub base and Coast Guard Academy and Barque Eagle in New London. Your 750 PRO looks wonderfully happy on your wrist Thanks for sharing. My Sharkie is looking like your PRO - scuffs on the bezel galore.

Jason - that's after less than two years of daily wear...imagine the horror on the faces of the Doxa team when I send that in for service in a couple of years...what will it look like then?

Hey, I like it. I think it gives the watch personality. Every bump and bruise gives it a little more of a life of its own.
    Best Regards,

    Avi,

It looks like you had a great day! Thanks for sharing.

I go to Charleston, SC a lot and yet I haven't seen the Hunley. I need to make an effort to see it when I go back in August.

I can't even remember how long it's been since CC worked on that expedition.
