Been wanting a Doxa for about a year now but put it off etc. Came close to pulling trigger several times but couldn't decide what one I wanted and also if I liked the rice bead bracelet or not. Nearly a 100% bracelet guy so if I don't like the bracelet I wont wear the watch. As soon as I saw the TUSA I thought that is the one but was too late ordering and they were gone so I was lurking on the sales forum for one and nabbed #69.
First impressions for me were how beautiful the dial was. Love the white and orange hands against the blue background with white indices and greenish hue of lume. The size may be smallish compared to a lot of divers nowadays but right in my wheelhouse. It is easily read and fits my 7.5" wrist perfectly. The way the larger case sets off the dial is sweet.
7.5" wrist shot
The bracelet which was a point of contention initially before even seeing it is thicker and heavier than I had imagined. Very comfortable as well. Overall I like it a lot and is not an issue any longer.
The styling of the case is very differant then any of my divers in that it has a lot of personality. Here is a side shot that puts the style on display and also shows off the thickness:
This shot to me makes the watch look like it wears very comfortably which it does.
Lume is outstanding. It is very bright initially and it lasts all night. Very impressed with the lume. Here are some shots with no photography tricks:
Overall very satisfied with the watch. Wears very comfortably. Is a great size. Great thickness. So far keeping good time ~5s/day or so out of the box. Bezel is best that I have had so far which includes many many divers. Slight dome to crystal is nice. Crown is perfect size for watch with jenny fish signature on it. Most likely wont be may last Doxa. Here are some more pics:
