Two Long Lost Brothers - 300T Reissues

With all the focus on the Super Sub lately, I thought I would bring back to life a couple favorites. The 300T Reissue Seahunter just arrived today from one of my good Friends. I was sorry to see him let it go, but at least it was to a good home

2 weeks ago I would have told you it was very high on my list of "Doxa Grails". Now, after seeing the Seaconqueror, I am all confused. These two still have a special place in my heart no matter what comes out in the future.

Incidentally, Pete.....Your 300T Seahunter is back in the states again........

    Best Regards,
    Jason

    Jason,

This is by far my favorite Doxa. This one I will have forever. I will post a picture here when I get home.

At one point I owned two. The bead blasted one was not for me.

It will quickly grow on you I'm sure. I know it did me.

Not yet. The Sharky is BNIB. Never sized or out of the plastic. I am kindof stuck leaving it that way. I feel bad taking it out after it being that way for 5 years.

I plan to get some wrist shots of the Seahunter though...........
    Best Regards,
    Jason

Oh that is one lovely Seahunter. Funnily enough I used to have one like that
Would be interesting at some point to see it on the monster bracelet as I never had the nerve to try to change it.
Glad its gone to a good home - wear it in good health

Nick, I agree wholeheartedly. This is one watch that will stay with me. I guess I am partial to Logos.

If Doxa truly wanted to make some money, they would build a 5000T seahunter. Orange dial with either the little diver or the seahunter logo. AND BLUE TIP THE SECOND-HAND. That would be a sure thing for them IMHO.
    Best Regards,
    Jason

At one time I had all the 300t reissues except for the Divingstar.I guess after a year of looking I figured I'd never get the yellow so I sold the other reissues.I of course then found a divingstar.I guess the lesson would be dont ever get rid of these Two,believe me you will regret it like I now do.--Regards,Joe

Re: Two Long Lost Brothers - 300T Reissues

I still don't get it? I thought folks here loved their DOXA because of what they were and how they worked and looked. A tool watch was often mentioned. So forgive my confusion but now Jason will keep his BNIB 300T, I believe, and it will be a what: investment; museum piece. Maybe I should very carefully clean and lightly polish those i have and then wrap them up until they are a) worth a whole lot or b) worth it because i will have one and you won't. No offense intended Jason. I see this in all walks of life. And I know if I got hold of something potentially a collectors item non pareil, I would probably ferret it away. But in my heart, the very opposite should be done, albeit with some care. USE IT! Sort of like the Ferrari Enzo. Probably 99% of these wonderful cars will never even see gas, let along be driven. I understand objectively but having one of the most beautiful, sexiest cars and not even go get some Krisp Kremes? Anyway just my "only having had one cup of coffee" rant!
