    Vintage Doxa

I posted a photo of my SUB 1200T DWL on a completely non-watch, non-Doxa related forum (it was in the background of another subject I photographed).

A member of that forum sent me a PM with this photo and description:

"It is a 300T. My father got into scuba and free diving in the early 70s when we lived in Northern California. We spent almost all our free time in the ocean growing up on both coasts. I believe he bought the watch in the 70s and passed it on to me when he knew he was done diving in the 90s. I don't take it diving anymore, I don't think it would hold up too well. Thanks for the link. (I sent him a link to Jack at IWW) I have thought about having it restored but I'm not sure I want to remove the scars it has acquired over the years, but someday I guess I will."

What an amazing watch. He doesn't want to sell it and I let him know that it is extremely desirable and worth a serious amount of money.

On a side note, my best friend, Karl, got his DWL and promptly strapped it to his wrist and jumped in his pool. Then he sent me a photo of it in the waterfall from his jacuzzi to his pool!
