$2730.00? That is insane. Can the box, tag and manual add that much to the price of a watch that normally sells for about $1,000.00? I think whoever was bidding lost control.

WOW!!! I would think that it wouldn't have gone so high just because the bezel doesn't look to be in that great of condition. Having the original paperwork is quite desirable, but I wouldn't have thought it would add $1000 to the price.

Makes me wonder what mine might be worth now, because this one is all original. I bought it from the 2nd owner.

    Jason,
Thanks for the correct thread. I found the price very high considering a nice looking 200 tgraph had 1 bid and went for 2500...strange indeed.

Frankly, I would not take some outlying bids on an EBay auction as a sign the market is picking up. That price appears way out of whack.

If you watch eBay for awhile (especially with different items), you'll see that an anomaly in any given category is not that uncommon. Like the 300T Reissue we saw a few months back with a crazy high price, some items just get caught up in a bidding frenzy- while other desirable items seem left cold.

I've seen items that can typically be bought at 50% off new on eBay actually bid up to more than retail, and these were items currently available from online retailers for less than retail. In the end, it doesn't always need to make sense. It's not logical, it's eBay!

Oh yeah I know, ebay is the place to sell anything and everything. And I have been known to get a few items for ROCK bottom cheap for an item that's completely brand new never touched! It happens, it's one of those things where you need to just shop around and be patient. Another one will always show up sometimes in better condition and cheaper!
