Vintage sub beads of rice on modern doxa

Anybody else done this? Fits really well but it does seem more fragile then the modern beads of rice
what do you guys think? Good? Or not so good? Wife prefers the original
I like how the bracelet says doxa sub 300 which also is the model of the Poseidon
Don’t think I will keep it but thought it be fun to try

I prefer the tapering so yes. I hope Doxa will make a new version of this bracelet that tapers to 16mm with the diver extension.

The ratchet extension is great as is the two expandable links a lot of details in the old bracelet, do feel more comfortable with the solidness of the new

Actually after just a short while wearing it I’m really digging it just getting my head around the difference , the watch feels a lot more vintage ,like when I wear the 50th anniversary additions

The strap is not so rigid and bends more , I like it

Looks great, man! What I really like are the non stamped end links. It continues the fluidity of the satin finish of the case in a way the "modern" end links don't.

Love this!!! That is really sharp man, I’ve been REALLY considering pulling the trigger and trying to put a 50th anniversary bracelet on my 1200T pro. Way cool!

Keep it on Nuts, it looks like it relaxes well that band with the head it just folds up nicely when off your wrist on that pic....

Re: Vintage sub beads of rice on modern doxa

Thanks guys , yes definitely going to keep it on the vintage bracelet, good points are the expansion links keep the watch perfect on the wrist without the need for the ratchet expansion clasp to be used I guess that was only used for divers suit but also bends sideways to the wrist adds a lot more flexibility
I like the end links also as mentioned continues the case
I had to take a link out and it really is solidly built not flimsy at all even though it does feel so compared to the modern ,the weak point would have to be every bead of rice is a bent metal link but they really are strong and none where opened
Love the doxa sub 300 on the clasp this is a 1968 pre Aubrey bracelet
After wearing the 50th anniversary’s the 1200t case felt a little modern which of course it isn’t because it’s the same case as the 300t but It really does make it feel vintage now I love it
Doxa really need to remake these bracelets the links back and forward fit perfectly no wiggle

Looks great! I prefer a tapered bracelet too. Non-tapering bracelets seem clumsy to my eye. Wonder if the BOR will work with the modern end pieces?
