Lol! The watch blends right in! Did the robot have a name? I don't recall one.

From the Wikipedia Lost In Space page:
The Robot is a Model B-9 Environmental-Control Robot, which had no given name. The Robot was designed by Robert Kinoshita and performed by Bob May in a suit built by Bob Stewart, with voice by Dick Tufeld, who was also the series' narrator.
I guess not. Fascinating page, I didn't realize it was the most expensive TV show to produce and remained so for some time ($400,000 per episode).

Wasn't that the same Robot they used in the 50's SciFi flick Forbidden Planet, named Robby the Robot? I'll have to check out my Lost in Space DVD's and then check out the movie.

I was thinking the name was Robby too. I was surprised when I read the Wikipedia entry.

Indeed Robby the Robot was in Forbidden Planet. It was designed by Robert Kinoshita who also designed the Lost In Space Robot. It didn't have a name but is referred to as the B9 robot. Robby the robot also appeared in one of the Lost in Space episodes.

I was more drawn to the series by the hot chicks in tin foil.

You can actually buy full size replicas of the B9 for $2.4K here: http://www.lostinspacerobot.com/

Or if you're a do-it-yourselfer you can find tips and plans here: http://www.b9robotbuildersclub.com/

I have the book and CD for building the B9 robot.... one day when I get a house and a garage I am right in there. Considering I have no money and never live in any place for more than about 3 years maximum I guess it will never happen, but you never know.............. Lottery win maybe

That is awesome. I'd stick him right by the front door so when people come in they get "jacked" up by a robot...... <now remembering that I'm married and would like to keep it that way> On second hand, one would look great in a "dude room"
