    Watching For the Cure Auction #3 - Custom RGM SEA 3 (BNIB) with three straps

    Here is the third watch for the Watch for the Cure Silent Auction. Bidding begins today at 12:00 pm (EST) with a starting Price of $300. The Auction will run though to 12:00pm (EST) on July 30, 2009 (Thursday). The High bid and bidder will be contained in the daily bump message.

    her 5 auctions will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. PayPal fees and shipping will be added to the winning bid and a PayPal invoice will be sent to the winner after the close of the auction.     So here is the first non Seiko watch for our auctions. It is a RGM Sea 3 custom (Near BNIB) is being offered with some neat additions. This watch features the following highlights

    • Red level II dial
    • Black date wheel at the 4.5
    • Alternative military style hands
    • 45.8mm Case
    • Anti-Reflective Sapphire Crystal
    • Top-Quality Decorated 2924-2 Movement
    • Unique rotating dual count-down AND elapsed-time bezel
    • Black Ceramic Outer bezel with mixture of High intensity Nocta-Lume and red hand enameled indexes
    • Toshi custom 5.5mm thick flat black with black stitching and black ceramic coated buckle
    • Additional Maratac Elite and Zulu strap
    • Original display box and other box
    • This watch was purchased brand new from RGM in March of this year (2009)

    This watch has never been worn and still has the Mylar seal on the back. Photo inside the case is from an old forum photo. The modifications were all done without having to open the watch.

    AUCTION RULES:In the interest of avoiding eBay’s onerous fees and rules, and collecting and donating the largest amount possible to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The auction will be handled in the following manner:

    1. The silent auction will run for 5-7 days and be listed list it in WUS, SCWF, PMWF and AWF. We will create a post including picture descriptions (Fully compliant to the forum rules), who the money will be going to, starting price for the piece that is going up for bid (One per week),

    2. Each auction will be listed with a starting price with the understanding with the understating that PayPal fees and shipping to be calculated and added to the winning bid and send via a PayPal invoice.

    3. Bids will be placed by e-mail to a dedicated email account which you will all have access to. All bidders will receive a “bid received” notice no later than 8am EST the following day.

    4. At a set time (12pm EST) each day the highest bid amount and leader will be posted in a bump message to the thread.

    5. At 12pm EST on the final day of each auction all bids are final and will only accept final e-mail bids with a time stamp prior to 12pm. Those last few bids will receive a confirmation of receipt and those that came later will be notified that they were too late.

    6. If there is a tie in high bids the time stamp will be used to determine the first to place the high bid.

    7. A post will be made to the forums with a spreadsheet showing the bid history and the final wining bidder the following day.

    8. We will generate a PayPal invoice per the auction guidelines and send it to the winner. Upon cleared payment I will ship the watch to the winner.

    OK, we are in the last four hours of the Auction. As of 0800 this morning of Thursday July 30th, the high bid remains $550. It was made by WUS member dbluefish. Don't forget, this auction ends TODAY at 1200 (noon). If you're interested, get those bids in before 1200 noon today!

    The Auction is now closed. All bids have been replied to. The high bid of $625 was received from dbluefish (Paul) from WUS. Congrats to Paul, and thanks to all the bidders for supporting the cause.
