    Tabata United States of America

Tabata was a worldwide diving equipment agency, and TUSA was to signify their US division of the company. (I believe this is correct information)

Maybe Jon Davy can chime in here and verify this information

    Hi Guys.
TUSA is a true dive equipment manufacturer, founded in 1952, offering a full-line of scuba equiment distributed worldwide. We develop, design and manufacture our products at our own ISO facilities in Japan and Taiwan.
TUSA is a brand of Tabata Co. Ltd Japan and Tabata USA is a wholly owned subsidiary that operates N/S America and Caribbean. In addition to SCUBA, we manufacture and OEM other sporting goods equipment such as swimming products, snorkeling equipment, golf products, and more and distribute several other brands globally. More info could be found at tusa.com.

It was a "no-brainer" to work with the great folks at DOXA S.A. to help commemorate Tabata USA's 30th anniversary of operations in the US, 1978-2008. Hence, the Doxa TUSA Sub 1000T.
    Hope that helps!
