Where to go to learn about antique DOXA watches

This forum appears to be devoted to the newer DOXA watches, but I thought to give this a shot --

My wifes grandfather was in WWII and recieved a DOXA watch. It is engraved to him and dated 1946. It is a Chronograph with 3 sub-dials and 4 hands. There are 4 push buttons in addition to the crown. There is a box that it came in but no paperwork. The box indicates the watch is solid gold. A lucky grandchild gets the watch but the family is trying to determine it's value. Can someone help or direct me to an someone that knows these watches?

    This pic is similar --

    Thanks and regards, Glenn

It is not that this forum focuses on the new ones as much as this forum focuses on the Doxa Sub. Post some pics and someone might be able to give a better idea of its worth......
    Best Regards,

    youngsage,

I've been interested in these vintage WWII era watches also. There are some VERY nice ones out there, but they're not cheap. Let me know if you get one.

    Here's the watch in question:

I'm not sure as to its value though, perhaps someone else would be able to help.
