Woo-hoo, I have another Doxa heading my way (Update: Disappointed)

Most of you dont really know me. I posted here (Doxa forum) a few times a couple years ago. I really liked the Doxa 750Ts and set out to get one. The Mil Shark was my favorite but was out of my set price range. The SS Sharky was my second favorite. I sold my Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser for a nice profit and bought a used SS Sharky as my first higher end (to me) watch. You may remember the pics of that watch with the crawfish. I loved that watch for about a year but the Seiko Marinemaster 300m was calling out my name. I put up a for trade post and traded for a MM with a great fellow from NC, Bstephens. While the Marinemaster is a great watch, I have been wanting another Doxa since I mailed my Sharky that day. Fast forward to earlier this month. I put a trade post with my MM300 and started checking the bay. I now have a 750T Mil Sharky on the way, a rare COSC one. I cant wait to have a Doxa back on my wrist. Now to sell or not to sell the Seiko? You dont have to answer that, I am just thinking out loud. I have to seriously think about that one. I will post up some pics when I get it.

Congrats on the incoming. Post up some pics when it arrives. More than even your first Doxa, I bet you miss that FJ40. Big 'Cruiser fan here.

Good work, but I agree I bet you miss the FJ40. Where did you acquire the FJ40, and did you refurbish yourself? Impressive to sell at gain.

I dont know if you guys are familiar with the MUD Landcruiser forums. I bought it from there from a guy in GA. It was not exactly what I wanted but it was a good price so I jumped on it. It sat for awhile before I bought it. I got it running great with a Weber 38/38 carb, that I6 has some torque. I did like it and do miss it some. I figured I would sell my Toyota PU crawler sometime and buy another cruiser. I put the cruiser on the bay and someone bought it at my buy it now price which was alittle more than I was expecting to get. I will buy another cruiser. I have a couple of older Mitsu. Monteros to sell and an 84 Toyota solid axle to sell. I will get another cruiser though.

Used to run Michigan's sand dunes with a buddy in his new FJ40 (circa 1979?). That thing was a beast. With that six cylinder, a header and a performance distributor (only mods) and zero pounds in BFG All Terrain or Mud Terrain tires, it was one of the quickest trucks up the biggest steepest hill. I remember a guy in a Bronco asking what he had under the hood... beat him soundly. He'd poured $3000 into his engine for performance on the dunes! (Remember, this was in the '70's!). One of the reasons? The FJ40 came with a low ratio front and rear differential (I think it was 411:1) until about 1979 or 1980. They raised them after that I heard...

Congrats on the COSC Milshark, a great watch! And pretty rare, too.
    Regards, T Bone.

    " For watches there's always TIME "

I was asked what the time was that was on my watch ?
Does anybody really know what time it is ?
    Does anybody really care ?
If so I can't imagine why..........
I do, I do, I do care about time.
