    Leather or metal

Have changed the leather strap twice hence decided on metal this time around!

PS: sincere apologies for the orientation of the pics!

To me, Pilot watches should be on leather.

I do like the "spirit" of trying different things, but I can't say I like the dissimilar color of steel here. I agree with Izecius and TechGuyJ - leather definitely for a pilot's watch.

    Re: Leather or metal

There may be a metal bracelet out there somewhere that will look great on your Pilot, but that ain’t it!
I am also in the leather strap camp. However, whenever I think a metal bracelet isn’t the way to go, a mesh bracelet surprises me with how good they look. Of course you have to like mesh to begin with.
Not an IWC, but maybe this gives you an idea of how it might look:

I do agree with you all that leather suits the Pilot. Thanks

All these years I have been wearing leather and immediately replacing with Nato straps for my Sports SS watches but surprisingly I must confess that I feel 'good ' wearing a metal strap for the 1st time after such a long time!

Time Exposure, will source for the mesh and try that on. Oops! my thoughts went into words! Thanks

Some watches like a Sub look good on bracelets. Others like the Speedy and an IWC Pilot were born to sport leather.

I have a 114060 that is less suited to NATO. Also I cannot over the comfort of the bracelet. Heck I may have to wear it today now!
