    Adjusting a Marine Auto

    Hi Guys,

I just picked up a Marine Automatic here on the forum. It is, as everyone says, much finer in the real than in photos.

It's running quite slow, about 65 seconds in 24 hours. It was new in September 2007. Is 2 years the normal service interval? Shall I send it back to Jorg (and wait!) or have it adjusted locally?

And by the way, if anyone has a suggestion for a blue strap, I'd love to hear it.

    Thanks!

    blue hirsch carbon
di-modell also makes a carbon strap

-1 MINUTE is a ridiculous rate for a watch even at 2 years old. i have entry-level mechanical watches (~500usd) that are older than that, never serviced, that keeps cosc or near-cosc time.

Hadn't thought of carbon - I'll definitely take a look.

Yeah, 65 seconds / day is pretty far off. I guess it needs to go back to Jorg for service - but it surprises me that this would be needed after 2 years. When do you send watches in for service?

Blue alligator sounds great. Have you ever tried Watchbandcenter.com in Germany? They seem to have a wide assortment of Hirsch, Di-Modell, De Beer, Graf, Lic Ateliers, etc.
