I have seen the Airman on a Hirsch Carbon Sport and thought it was a contemporary look for a classic piece. Also, there are many custom strap makers that, for a price, could make something very individual to meet your needs.

The Stowa straps are very nice, but they are too large for my wrist. I wear a riveted aviator strap from TimeFactors with my Airman, and it looks beautiful (and it fits).

I had mine on a DiModell Montana: http://mywatchmaker.net/watchstraps/...atchstraps.htm

It's leather and has just the right thickness. It was very comfortable and looked great. The owner of the above website is just great as well.

The stock strap you're getting (rivet/pilot style) is a good strap, IMO it is a good look for the watch. I have a 6 3/4" left wrist and it works well.
