Almost 50 Shades of Grey: New Stowa Ikarus and Worn&Wound strap

    Hello all,

Long time lurker here on the Stowa Forum, but recently got the opportunity to pull the trigger on a close-to-new Stowa Ikarus (classic). Thanks Song31!

The watch is well known to all, so I just thought I'd post some pics and also show off a new strap I got for the watch from Worn and Wound, a "Model 2 Horween" - in "Coal", which I think works well with the watch. Not quite 50 shades of grey, but close .

    Cheers and enjoy,
    Jack

    a quick lume shot:

another couple of attempts to capture the different shades:

    a shot in the snow:

I really think the strap works well with the Ikarus, but I'll need to seriously consider some lotion for winter skin if I have any hopes of being a "hand model"

And finally, as we all know, any watch looks better on a comely lass (note to the moderator, the model has no clothes on )

Here we see Flower, our grey tabby, modeling the new Stowa:

a guy could get lost in those eyes....

    til next time!

Couldn't open this thread on my sons iPad without disabling the "parental restrictions!!" After reading the OP, I now understand. Watch ...., indeed!

Awesome colors on that watch, a stowa is probably going to be my next purchase.

Thanks for the comments folks. Sorry I went "dark" after my post, but my wife and I were on our way for a long weekend in DC (heard there were some museums ), right after I hit "send".

Also sorry for triggering "parental restrictions" , but it was too good a trick to pass up.

The Ikarus had a great trip to DC, but sorry, no pics. It did, however, feel right at home in the Library of Congress and the National Museum of Art (West Gallery).

    cheers,
    Jack
