In 2012, my girlfriend gave me a silver Antea Kleine Sekunde for my 30th birthday. I wore it every day for about 18 months and loved everything about it.
Then, one evening at 21:26, I dropped it on the wooden floor as I took it off my wrist. The watch landed heavily and stopped. Fully winding it and jiggling it did not start it again.
At the time I had no money to fix it and vowed to do so later. I still have little money to spare, but I’d really like to fix this watch. I understand I can send it to Stowa in Germany for repair. But before I do that, does anyone have any idea how much the repair might cost? Are we talking €20 or €200 or even more?
Of course you can’t know what’s wrong with it (there’s no external damage), but perhaps these watches suffer a typical type of drop damage?
Should I instead try to find a watchmaker here in Paris to attempt the job? If so, does anyone have an address?
