    Blue And Silver Marine Dilemma

I have placed an order for the Marina Original blue limited but since last weekend the Marine Klassik Silber (no date) demands my attention as well. If I could get this with a handwinding movement - e.g. SW215 - I am in deep trouble. I like the clear face of the silver dial with the filigree blue hands and the central second. It´s moving so elegantly. Nevertheless the blue limited MO is a real beauty. The decision between silver and blue has the potential to drive me crazy and nope ... I won´t buy both. Has anybody seen a configured Marine Silber (no date) with an SW215 handwinding movement ?

Email Stowa and I am 99.9% sure they could configure a Marine Silver with SW210 for you.

As a matter of fact, Paul M. just got one in March:

By the way, what number is your Marina Original blue limited?

Pretty sure it can be done. It is offered with the Flieger's which have the same case. I'd say it's decision time for you my friend 😉

just to add...you can always get the limited edition now and if you don't like it flip it without losing too much. The silver marine automatic will always be there but the limited edition won't

Serialno. will 142 for the Blue. Is the SW210 closer to the Unitas 6498 of what is the difference to a SW215 ?

The 215 is essentially the 210 with a date wheel which in turn is equivalent to the ETA 2801.

The 6498 is a slightly modified version of an old pocket watch movement. Much slower beat rate (18, 000 bph vs 28,800 bph) Aesthetically in my opinion it looks prettier especially if your looking at the version on the Marine Original Blue Limited edition.

Obviously Stowa prefers to modify the SW215 regarding the no-date function instead of mounting a SW210. Waiting for an offer to get the Silver Marine as a handwinder and than I have to make a decision between silver and blue. Appreciate all your support. Many Thanks.

That's the correct beat rate for the Unitas movements Stowa uses. The 6498-2 however beats at a rate of 21.600.
The Naf and iggy-th like this.
    Kind regards
