    Boring chronograph ? :-)

    Hello everybody,

the discussion about the Flieger Chronograph (and its unique dialdesign) which is very interested gave me the idea to show you also my new 1938 Chronograph with date.

I look forward to see the comments.

Ok, thats all for today, tomorrow everything is Online and we meet us in Basel

    Best regards

    Jörg Schauer

    * i wrote boring because this dial has everything a chronograph "needs"- second, 30 minute counter and date.
It´s just a joke in relation to the discussion about the design of the Flieger Chrono who does not have second, date and its reduction to the minimum.
I think everything is possible, it is just a matter of taste, design philosophy and the view of the designer.

Now you're talking! That's beautiful. I was never sold on the gold/bronze accents of the no-date version. But this....Sorry kids, no new shoes this season.

Not boring at all! I love the trim around the date window. Well done!

I would say that this chronograph is lovely. But having seen the flieger chrono, there's just something about that design which speaks to me. I have an FO and I guess that subdial challenges the eye on what was an initially familiar layout. Most gratifying.

So it looks like between the two chronographs, you have both bases covered Jorg - something a little different, and something classically elegant and pleasing to the eye. Now that's clever positioning!

The black face works very well with this Chrono, I like it a lot. I like the old crown a bit better though, I think it complimented the clean lines of the watch. This one's a bit bulky, imho.
