Can anyone help me identify this watch?

    Hi There
I am new to this forum but I would like to know more about my watch, I bought it a few years ago in a second hand shop because I loved the look of it.
The name on the face is 'Anker' and on the back it says...

    STOWA
    WALZGOLD - DOUBLE
    20 MIKRON
    BODEN
    EDELSTAHL

    4846

    Many thanks
    Austin

The engraving looks to be hand made by a non expert. My guess: You got a pimped "Anker" watch of the 30s. in the course of decades Anker watches were fitted with movments made by
Eppler, Uwersi, PUW, H. Becker and Ruhla (iirc the UMF-24). Case is plated brass, onlyx the back is stainless steel. Very common those times.
    Kind regards
    Mike

Looks like it has had a very full life.
