Changing from bracelet to strap on Pro Diver - Help

I am tyring to get the screws out of the Pro diver to swap the bracelet with the rubber strap. Anyone have suggestions about ways to do this without stripping the heads of the little screw heads? The screws seem pretty tight.

    Thanks

I wanted to try that too but I don't want to mangle my Seatime like some I have seen on the sales forum.

You need two screwdrivers, one on both sides. I had to buy a second set. I have changed out straps and the bracelet a bunch of times now and just sized the rubber strap for it tonight as a matter of fact. It has gotten easier but it is still quite a pain IMO and my screws are starting to get a little chewed up. I have a feeling that replacements are not that hard to get from the maker though...so now that I have found what I like I can settle down with it. Maybe I'll write to Stowa and get some new screws and barrels.

I wasn't really afraid about the screws myself for the reasons you gave. My concern was scratching up my case. I bet a vise or something would help.

I think a case holder would help a lot. I've changed straps on mine many times and have the scratches to show it
    Wear what you like.

So I'm just curious, why didn't they go with drilled lugs like the U1? It's so much easier for the user.

The lugs are drilled, how do you think those screws get through there? I'm guessing you mean to ask why they don't use spring bars? Spring bars are not as strong or as reliable as screws. The screws are very solid and I wouldn't trade them for anything. It is just a matter of having steady hands, the right tools and the confidence to do it.

Then they ought to include 2 screwdrviers that are the correct size for the job. The precision sets that I was able to find were the right width but not quite the right thickness so there is some slop which makes them prone to slippage.

I agree with the screwdriver issue.
