Question The dial is slightly off on my new Stowa Flieger Logo - how much to fix?

I opened my new Stowa yesterday and overall love it, BUT I do notice the dial is rotated about a millimeter clockwise -- i.e. the "3" index is very slightly below the 90 degree of the crown, the "6" index is slightly to the left of the bottom center, etc. Given it cost something like $860, this is annoying.

If I brought it to a local watch shop:

    1) Is this something they could fix?

    2) What would be a reasonable amount for them to charge?

I'm sure I could ship it back to Stowa, but, man, the initial two week wait to get the watch was painful enough.

    Thanks.

I would contact Stowa customer service. They will likely ask you to FedEx it back to them, and they will fix it. Seems like a QC oversight that they would want to address.

Unfortunately, besides not wanting to wait as long to get the watch back, it may have been my fault: I did drop the watch after opening it. I'm not sure if a drop could make this happen, but I can't rule it out as my mistake.

Not sure dropping it could rotate the dial. In any case, I sent my new Stowa back for a cosmetic defect and got it back from Germany to California within two weeks, problem solved, no shipping or customs charges. Stowa is good about customer service, which is always appreciated.

    Agree.

Jorg and staff are usually pretty fast with issues like this, and I too think that would be the best option for you.

Definitely send it back as you said you paid serious money for it and a QC issueslike this is clearly not acceptable. I'd contact a company if my 100 dollar watch had a squint dial, a bezel being off is one thing or slight print on one marker being off but the whole dial being out would drive any watch lover nuts. Better safe with them than spending time and more of your money locally to save maybe a week

I spoke with a local shop and they suggested I talk to Stowa, because if the shop opens up the watch, it will void my warranty.

    I'll contact Stowa tonight...
