Difference Between Flieger Original and Present Flieger

I sent a photo of what was the Flieger Original to Stowa and was told it was a limited edition.

Can someone outline what made that version different from the current Flieger no logo? Was it more expensive and by how much?

    Thanks.

My friend, try the search function. There is a ton of info here. (to get you started: Original = hand wound. Serial = auto. 41mm vs. 40mm. Big price difference)

Hi. Go to this post and see post # 4. https://forums.watchuseek.com/f36/hei...an-407028.html

You will see the height difference between the Flieger Original (that includes the Original Limited Edition) and the regular Flieger. Pretty sure the price of the original is higher, but I am not so sure how much.

As I recall, the differences include the following:

-- The Original has a slightly larger (41mm) and thicker (13mm) case, while the regular version has the 40mm case and the thickness is at 10.2mm.

-- The Flieger Original has the modified Unitas 6497 movement (handwind). The regular version has the ETA 2824 (auto)

-- The Original has the engraving Fl 23883 on the side of the case, while the regular Flieger has none.

-- The Unitas 6497 movement is hackable, the minute hand will move to the 12 o' clock position and stop there. Not sure if the ETA 2824 on the regular version is hackable, but I assume it can.

The FO case back is beautiful Volker, great photo. I'm still new to this watch business, I really regret missing out on the FO and can only hope they do more in the future. I'm also refusing to allow myself to buy the B dial, as I am waiting for a manual wind version to come out and I don't want two of them.

It is up since 6 days now, asking price is 2000 bucks. You know how to use the search function......(rule 5 Linking to live auctions is permitted for discussion purposes only.)
