Question Fake, Franken or anything else?...

...i found this one on the Web and never saw it before, are there any informations about it?
for me it looks very strange and unreal :-S it is located in the Ukraine
i think it is a "Franken", case and Dial are not from Stowa, the Movement could be genuine.

    that's my opinion, what's yours?

    Dear UVOX,

    difficult to say.
The movement seems to be original - i have the same in some old watches.
The engraving on one wheel is typical for this time.,

The case and dial seems to be very old - maybe older than the history of STOWA.
Maybe - we know that sometimes watches have been made with former form and design - i don´t know exactly the age of this style.

Maybe there is somebody who can tell us the age of the typical design of this watches.

Was it before 1927 ?- i think so - but i am not sure.

Maybe if i can have a bigger picture of the dialprinting i can see if the printing is made in the last years or at the time the watch or the dials was made.

Sometimes this is a good sign to know if it is fake or original.

    best regards

    Jörg

Andreas, my personal hunch ist that this is a marriage of an original movement with a re-dial and a new case ... I have never seen a military watch with the suseconds at 9 like this. .-(

    Hello everybody,

i just try to find out if this watch can be original.
I make two lines to see if the name is printed i the centre.
    Please have a look.
It seems that the name is printed after the dial was made. And this position is unusual - i think the designer or producer of the dial would make it in the centre.
If you print the name after the dial is made sometimes you forgot to print it realy in the centre, this sometimes is a sign for a fake.

I am not realy sure - but all details seems that this watch is not realy original.

    best regards

    Jörg
