Flieger Klassik Sport vs. Flieger Klassik

I am just about buying my first Stowa, but I can't decide between the Klassik Sport and the Klassik...

My wrist size is 16.5cm (6.5 inch), I am used to larger sized watches (I own an Oris Big Crown ProPilot - 44mm, and a Tudor Black Bay Bronze - 43mm), but I am unsure what to take here.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Thanks Mike! But perhaps I was a bit imprecise in my statement above. Although I own two larger sized watches, most of my watches are smaller (40-42mm).
With that information would you still recommend the SPORT for my wrist size?

yep, due to the case/bezel design the watch visually wears smaller. Got the TO2.
    Kind regards

I'm typically a bigger watch kinda guy. Worn PAM's and IWC Aquatimers with ease but the Flieger Klassik wears very large for a 41mm imp, I love mine.

Both are good for the 6.5 inch wrist. I have the Klassik Blue LE (not shown) and the Sport. I find myself wearing the Sport since it has an appreciable heft and to me a distinctively masculine look. But I like both and will wear the blue.

Pictures here are of the Sport and the Borealis Blue. The Borealis is 41.5 by 47mm. I offer this as a point of comparison. As you can see, the Sport is not overly big. I know I was dubious at first but when I got it I have to say that the Sport is one of the best watch buys for me.

I think you will be happy with the Sport. Wears well on smaller wrists.

I was pretty much in the same boat as you, my wrist is 6.75" and I'm used to wearing 47mm Panerai, in the end I still went with the 40mm Klassik. I think the Klassik has better proportions overall, especially thinner bezel so it would wear slightly bigger. The case is thinner overall also and would look better on the wrist.

Aaron, what a cool watch. I totally forgot about the Flieger with the Unitas movement. Now I think, I like it best of all Stowa Fliegers...
    Thanks for posting the pictures.
