    Flieger Original question?

    Hello!

I have a question regarding FO.
Does it have hacking function in any form? I tried to search over old threads, however I can't find right answer. There are posts with clear "No!" to post where FO should have travelling second hand to 12 when crown is pulled out. I know some limited editions have this function but I am interested in "serial" Flieger Original.
Can someone clarify me this question?

BTW, I am on waiting list from december 08. And probably I will receive watch also in december....09!

Both the FO serial and LE have the hack at 12 feature, pull the crown and it will stop at 12...

    Re: Flieger Original question?

Well, I'm grateful for the good question and the clear answer!
From what I had read before, I thought the serial had a just-stop function (vs. a stop-at-12 for the limited).
Personnally, I find the watch more special with the stop-at-12 (I don't know the proper expression for this function, btw). If the serial has it, I may have to join the list, after all...

The german web site is more clear on that issue:
"Stoppsekunde, d.h wenn die Krone gezogen wird läuft der Sekundenzeiger auf 12 Uhr bzw. 60 Minuten und bleibt dann stehen."
    Will contact Jörg.

Thank you for clear answer. Now I will wait a little easier on my FO.

BTW, is there any way to sinchronize second hand in a watch without hacking function?

    Re: Flieger Original question?

In a none hacking mechanical it may be possible to rotate the hands backward and stop the watch. By holding the crown with a little reverse force you can apply an opposing force to the main spring and stop the watch, however, it depends on how tight the cannon pinion has been set...the cannon pinion slips against the center wheel pinion to facilitate setting of the time, if the cannon pinion is crimped tight enough then its possible to stop the watch. If it's a touch loose then the watch will continue to run.
