    Flieger Verus 40

Anyone else just pull the trigger on this one?

My first impression was that the proportions are a little bit off compared to the traditional flieger on account of the oversized hands and fat numbers. I'm kind of liking it now though. But it was the lume shot that put me over the edge as I'm a huge lume fan and this one will obviously blaze all night with that much fill. Also the reasonable price. Looking forward to it!

I was reading their email announcement earlier..... looks good. I'm considering buying my Dad one for his 84th Birthday next month.

I don't think I'm interested in another flieger, but the no date version has been growing on me some since I first saw the email blast. I agree that the lume shot is nice.

Maybe I'm so used to normal flieger. This one seems off to me.

The hands too thick for me

Legible watch to be sure and looks fantastic imo. Lume must be amazing. I prefer the dimensions of this case over the larger Klassik Sport models.

They just changed the lume shot today. Oh man, this watch is going to glow like crazy! With the bead blasted case it will be an interesting new direction for the flieger line.

I‘d add €20 and get the Ikarus. Simply the better looking watch. No love for the dumpling.....ähhhhh.....Verus.

I would agree the proportions look off, arabics too large for the dial.

You know, I might be wrong, but I think the first images we were seeing might have been a paper mockup dial. Because the current photos show a better proportioned dial, numerals and hands compared to the first images we were seeing. It's very subtle. So not so far off from the traditional design now except for those fat hands of course, but now even they look better IMO.
