I am not fond of the thick dial design. I guess I prefer the classic look. Still, I will look for real world pictures with interest.
The next watch I get will definitively, finally, and without a question, be my last one!

I guess the wristshot was not real life? :)

Nah, a real life picture is not complete without a snapshot of the watch on a man's hairy arm and the approximate size!

Even better if you can see it from side and bottom.

Best, if sat down next to other watches so people can see how it compares to the others.

Thank you for the review Bhanu. Legibility does appear to be excellent. With my aging eyes, larger hands and numerals are a plus, particularly when the reading glasses are not handy. You mentioned a new Verus Klassik will soon be released with larger 43 mm case with 22 mm lugs. The other Klassik Sport models have 24 mm lugs. Will this be changed for the new Verus? I briefly owned the Ikarus Klassik Sport and would have preferred slightly more narrowed lugs.

I think Joerg had only made a prototype of Verus 43 to show to the enthusiasts in Tokyo this weekend. I am not sure if he will make this watch going forward - possibly depends on the feedback. I will have to check on the lugs again.

I felt the same way about the numbers, that at night I did not have to squint as I usually do with some watches. Getting old man! and trying to put off glasses for as long as I can.

Re: FliegerFriday: Review of Stowa Verus

Yeah, that's what I was referring to Bhanu...that's just the larger case with 24mm lugs that the rest of the flieger series and the TO series is housed in. I believe the dial and hands are the same size as the 40mm watches, but the larger case allows Stowa to up the case size, add a screw down crown and move to a 24mm strap to entice the Panerai crowd. My own opinion is the lugs are a bit too wide on that case style, the case is too heavy in steel (wish it was titanium) and I prefer 22mm maximum strap width because otherwise the proportions are a little off.
