My FO LE arrived a few days ago while I was out on vacation, and I just picked it up from the local Fedex office.
I don't have any wrist time with it yet, but I thought I would post a couple pictures of it, along with the watches in the flieger section of my permanent collection.
So far, I believe it is the most faithful recreation of the B-Uhr, in style, movement, detail, and in spirit. It is far superior to other recreation B-Uhrs such as the Laco.
Jörg, thank you for doing such a tremendous job in creating the master piece, the watch is simply beautiful. Your hard work is so evident in the end product that I think it is well worth a few times of its price.
In the last picture, from left to right, the IWC Big Pilot, the IWC Ceramic Doppel LE, the IWC St. Exupery Power Reserve, the Stowa FO LE, and the grand daddy of all, the IWC 52 S.C. B-Uhr. I also have the new IWC St. Exupery UTC on order, but it has not arrived yet so it cannot make the picture.
Sorry about the poor picture quality, as the file size limitation prevents me from uploading anything larger than 179KB, so I have to shrink my 14+ MP RAW files into a tiny 640x480 picture.
