Hi to all. Just ordered the auto version after many hours on Google and YouTube.

I have a modest watch collection and as an aviation nut, I was missing a good pilot's watch.

It had to be a German flieger, of course.

    Can't wait.

Welcome to the forum, John. I have a Klassik 40 on order as well. Post some pics when yours arrives.

Will do. And to think that I am only an hour's drive away from Le Chaux-de-Fond. La Locle, Biele etc., legendary home of Swiss watchmaking. :)

I just received mine this week (hand cranker, no date, logo). It’s a stunning timepiece, my second Stowa (alongside Marine Original Blue LE). Impeccable fit and finish. I’m still adjusting to the 40mm size, however. Smaller than I’m used to, would have preferred 42mm. But that subjectivity aside I expect you’ll be thrilled.

Seems like they will be busy in the Black Forest, I have a Flieger Klassik 40 on order as well!

Handwound, no date, no logo. There is something beautiful in the basic and simple.

The more I wear the more I appreciate how incredibly well executed this watch is. Still acquiring and experimenting with straps as don’t have 20mm in my otherwise overflowing collection.
