    Hybrid Stowa Game

Ok. I think it's pretty quiet here, so let's have some fun and brainstorm a hybrid Stowa watch.

    1) You pick two model of Stowa (past and/or current)

2)Assume Mr Schauer, is now sitting in front of you.

3)Sell your hybrid watch concept to him.

    OK. Let me start.

    SEATIME+TO1=SEATO1

    SEATIME case + A Dial + Bezel like TO1

    Screw down crown 100 ATM.

A watch for the Sea and Sky. Imagine Mr Schauer as secret agent, skydiving into the Sea like secret agent.

Aha. Who don't like secret agent?

Later I email Stowa to draw the watch. Hhaahah

I'll play ...I'll assume you meant past and/or present:

Stowa Marine Original + 1938 Bronze (i.e. Marine Original with Bronze, minted, fine matt, silver coated, diamond cut and printed dial)

Also 40 mm Flieger classic + 43mm Flieger classic sports. (i.e. 43mm Flieger with the thin profile of the 40mm)

But how you are going to sell the idea to Mr Schauer?

Edit: ps, the 43mm flieger thin a bit difficult to sell the idea, because it involve new case.. u know, new case need investment. haha

    Re: Hybrid Stowa Game

Aah...well I can sell the Marine Original idea:

If it can be used as inspiration for the chronograph then why not a deck style watch with a more familiar layout to the pocket watch of old. A wonderful way of resurrecting one of Stowa's heritage pieces...maybe even have a limited edition pocket watch! Respect the past but move towards the future...perhaps the new durowe movement when it's finished?

As for the Flieger...well who needs 200m of water resistance when your flying in the air... sorry that's all I got for the Flieger...hmmm how about stealing customers off cousins archimede 😂

    Re: Hybrid Stowa Game

Can I use a Stowa and a vintage Zenith? Still a hybrid, just not purely Stowa.

I would like for Stowa to make a watch with a dial reminiscent of the Zenith pattern 1928 watch. Put a rotating coin edge bezel on the 41mm case with the Unitas 6498 and add a large onion crown. Add a dial and handset similar to the old Zenith pilot watch (pardon the hastily created hands in the Stowa image).

    (not my watch or photo)

If he's making that I'll cancel my marine original order right now!

Edit: although it's not really in keeping with Jörg's vision of the brand what with homaging another brand and stuff...

I shouldn't have specified Zenith, it's just the photo I used. The 1928 pattern watches were a style of pilot watch made by lots of companies in the 1930's. The photos and watches are not mine.

They already did something very close to this (and if I could find one I would buy it in a heartbeat).

This picture is Mike Stuffler's I believe.
