    Ikarus has landed!

Wearing my brand new, fresh from Engelsbrand, Stowa Ikarus. Sorry for the blurry blackberry picture but I couldn't wait for going home and taking better pics.

I am really liking it! The quality and finish of this watch is amazing. Certainly at par with brands with much higher prices. I got it customized with onion crown and blued hands. The gray silver dial shimmers in a mysterious way and the hands look black most of the time but give you a glint of blue at certain angles of light. And Onion crown is a pleasure to wind. I almost wish it was manual so I can wind it more frequently.

Its amazing what you can get if you take out the money spent on advertising, celebrity endorsement and dealer margins. I am so happy I did not get tempted and bought a IWC Spitfire Pilot I was eyeing

Thank you Jorg, Regine and the whole Stowa team.

Congrats, the grey dial is really something different in the Flieger range of watches.

I've been looking for a gray dial for some time, and now you guys have really peaked my interest in this one. And to me, 40mm is perfect size for a 3-hand.

Congrats. I'm about to find out what all the fuss is about come October or November.
