I visited Pforzheim today with my colleague for an appointment at the GO dial factory. We decided to have an impromptu gtg at Stowa with Jorg.
I tried on the new Ikarus Sport and while it is much bigger than the Ikarus classic, it was a good fit and handsome watch. Screw-down crown instead of the onion crown is also interesting.
Then I tried on the Marine chronograph. I really like this watch but oh man I want the raised numerals in blue That would be a perfect watch and I would gladly email Mrs. Santa for my Christmas gift. I am hoping for 2016/17. BTW, Jorg is planning a pink (and red) gold case for the cream color chronograph. I think that's a good idea as it will add warmth to the overall look. The cream color chronograph will now have the raised numerals again
Then Jorg surprised us with showing the Edition #1 of the Watchtime (German magazine) 100 LE blue dial pilot watch. This amazing galvanized dial is manufactured in a Pfrozheim dial factory. So, I did what any good WUS would do The brown leather and metal straps are a great combo for this watch. Apparently, this is selling out fast.
Finally, the gtg is not complete without a selfie with good company and Tito's vodka from Austin. It was a fantastic and fun evening.
Thank you for the awesome welcome - Viveca, Nina, and Jorg!
