    Jorg's involvment.

Hey guys! I just received my notice that my MO will arrive monday and I'm quite excited!

I was just wondering, as I've been reading about Stowa and Jorg Shauer quite a bit, does Jorg work on every single watch that comes out of Stowa and Jorg Shauer? I was just curious.

One of the reasons I opted for Stowa among so many brands is because of the similarities in Jorg's company and mine, although I'm in graphic design, but I saw similarities in the size of the company and the concern of the product that goes out of it more than the quantity.

If anybody knows, that would be great. I'm thinking maybe he only works on his brand name watches and the MO and FO LE'S...

Well my MO was delayed because Jorge had flu - so that implies he has active involvement in these pieces - and this was confirmed by Viveca when I queried it.
What that actual involvement might be - I have no idea

    Re: Jorg's involvment.

I have read (somewhere...) that each case gets Jorg's personal attention before the movement is placed, and that despite his using the best cases he can find, he still insists on finishing them himself. If the polished finish of my MO serial is anything to go by, he does exactly that! I'd also be interested in what steps he may take with the movements. Anyone?

Jörg is a perfectionist protecting his hallmark with every ounce of his talent and energy.

Jörg: "I do this because I place a great deal of value on the fact that my cases are absolutely perfect" (Schauer watches at IW April 2006).

    Re: Jorg's involvment.

Jorg and Stowa's watchmakers have proven themselves in producing watches of high caliber at a fraction of cost compared to larger German and Swiss watch power houses.

Some of us have had the fortune to visit Jorg and observe the attention to detail and the intricate process of watchmaking for a day

Jorg is definately is a perfectionist and I have observed him repeat the same task so many times until he is satisfied that it is perfect.

    Cheers,
    Bhanu

Yes, but does he work on EVERY single watch that comes out with the Stowa and Shauer name?

And is it just the cases or more? Just curious.
