    Leather strap for new MO

I just placed an order for a brushed arabic MO. As I anxiously wait on it, I've started to search out a nice brown leather or gator strap. I've found a few on the internet that look nice, but it's so hard to tell with stock photos of straps without a similar watch attached.

Anyone have any thoughts on: debeer sport leather (brown or havanna); hirsch trapper; or di-modell oregon? Or, anyone have suggestions on other straps to look at?

    Thanks!

May I respectfully suggest you consider a "Toshi"

Rich is a respected member of the RLT & TZ-UK forums who one day decided to go on a leather making course - over the following months he started to make watch staps which have developed into the 'must have accessory' for many collectors.

My own MO on a 'Toshi'

    and on his 'Vintage'

I am but a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend him for his personal attention & individual straps.

If you like nice thick straps, Greg Stevens makes a nice one.

Is Stowa brown strap (with the watch) not your style?

Di-modell oregon is fine, and compatible with Marine IMO, mid brown is better match, never own Hirsch trapper, try Hirsch mariner ever, quite supple leather, but dislike quick-change bars.

This has been discussed many many times - the forum has a very useful "search" function

    This thread is but one:
    https://forums.watchuseek.com/showthr...lished+brushed
which contains several links to other threads discussing the same topic.

It comes down to personal preference!
But according to Mike Stuffler (God, and Moderator) the polished finish for the MO, brushed for AO is correct if you take into account the period their inspiration originated...

Which are the straps in your pictures (havannah, caramel, black, conker, papaya, vintage)?
