    Many thanks Mike.

Technology is great. Minute by minute update adds to the excitement here. This the latest . . . the MO is across the pond (having travelled over 250 kmph) and only 6 miles from home. These last 6 miles will likely take the longest - over 9 hours (ETD=3p); likely going to travel ~1 kmph these last 9 km!

I have a watch on the way from Jorg and have had other watches shipped from Germany to the usa. You should contact the shipping company as you will probably have to fill out a form when a watch comes into the usa. If you would like to further discuss you can email me at [email protected] or call me at 978 877-9123. Good luck. Stephen

Re: Longest quick journey across the ocean . . . MO arriving

    Thanks Stephen.

    HERE is the update . . .

Yesterday I ended up calling FedEx. They told me that they were trying to contact me but did not have any means to do so - (two issues - one, wanting to contact and realizing not having information to do so does not qualify as 'trying' to contact; and two, they do have my email id on which they were sending me minute by minute updates on the watch's location........but who is complaining). My suggestion to anyone in similar position would be to contact them.

    So back to the story....

Fedx told me that the watch was held by customs and they needed my SS#. I offered them the SS# on the phone and in 45 minutes got a call that the watch had cleared customs and was with FedEx in Newark, NJ.

Due to Xmas they confirmed that they could not deliver on the 24 or the 25th. The soonest they would deliver would be the 26th. I offered to go to FedEx location myself to pick up.

So, yesterday I drove 50 miles (to & from) in misty, rainy, slippery condition to get my MO STOWA.

BTW - no customs duty was assessed!!!

The MO reached home safe and sound, was swiftly wrapped away and put right under the Xmas tree.

THE WATCH IS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!! pictures to follow shortly.

    Yes, it is.
Mine is a complete booklet and one paragraph in the last page inside says:

"We manufactured this watch using the best materials. If you have any problem, please send the watch to our address on the backside. Two years warranty against all manufacturing defects. Excluding damage caused by unauthorized third parties."

But I'm sure, you will never have to use it,
