    Lurker no more

For a while I have been thinking I should get away from dive watches. Not permanently, as I still like a good, chunky diver, but something to broaden my horizons a bit (OK, I have a Doxa Deco, but I needed more). Maybe a year ago I stumbled onto Stowa watches by accident, checking out a Prodiver. I liked it well enough but found I was more captivated by Stowa's flieger and deck watches.

So I have continued to wear my dive watches but started watching this forum, checking out photos, reviews, and comments, and generally soaking up the Stowa vibe. (Truthfully, I was also watching for someone to complain about something, because that's how you get to know the weaknesses of a watch line/manufacturer.)

You know what? I haven't seen anyone with anything bad to say about Stowas, other than some stray comments about aesthetics ("I'd rather have this color dial, or that kind of second hand, or a different sized case"). The enthusiasm in this forum is pretty incredible.

You know what else? I ordered a MO and Airman Auto no-logo today from Viveca. I've never seen either one "in the flesh" but I'm looking forward to this. Pictures to come in mid-late March!

Welcome to the Stowa family! That..is...one...fantastic...PLUNGE!

    Here is basically what's coming.

Can't wait to see the images of your Stowas. You made two excellent choices - great additions to your collection!

    Enjoy the wait!

    Welcome!
I'm relatively new to Stowa, and I totally agree with your observations about the positivity and camraderie on this forum in particular.
I recently took delivery of a Prodiver and now am waiting for a very special Seatime on the way! More about that one when I have it on my wrist.
If Jorg ever decides to do another run of that "red 12" MO, I'll be all over that one too! (You reading this, Jorg?..)

    Welcome rfjaques!
...and there are more STOWAs than you think there are!

    @SidneyDan:

What SEATIME are you waiting for?
Perhaps with a back like this:

    ...and a face like that:

I'm looking forward to your presentation ,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I should have mentioned also that Viveca was quite helpful, which made my "plunge" that much easier.
