Marine Original -- Wrist Sizing Question?

    Hey Everyone,

I believe this is my first post... Anyway, I'm considering ordering the Marine Original, however, I have a concern regarding the sizing for my wrist. Unfortunately the gods did not foresee my love of wristwatches and I am burdened with 6 1/4" wrists. Normally a 41mm case is fine, however it's the 50mm lug-to-lug measurement that is a concern. Thoughts on whether it may be a bit much? Can anyone out there with similar sized wrists post up a pic?

If your love goes to MO get the MO
Only thing to consider is finighing of the case
In this case, you might choose Matt finish regarding to make an image of a "tool watch"
then wearing tool watch a little big it's totally fine :)

congrats , i just got my MO 4 days ago and it is stunning both front and back

I have about the same wrist size and my feeling is that the MO is too big for me however the MA has a perfect size.

It also depends on the shape of your wrist and how you like to wear your watches.

There may by a MO owner near your place.

I'm here in Abbotsford and will be in the city Sunday. Let's get together and you can try mine on!
That's really the only way to know for sure because wrist measurements vary.

    ^^^^

That is a good suggestion. Pictures do not always tell the correct sizing.

Yes, try it on if you can. I really wanted the MO, but my similar wrist size couldn't pull it off. I have the MA and love it, but it is honestly about 2mm larger than I'd like. I know that as much as I like the style of the MO I could never be happy with the size.

All good suggestions. True, while photos do help, trying it on is the best way to determine if it's "the one" or not. I am looking at it to bridge the "casual-dress" gap. I like the white with a brushed case.

It truly is a small world. I never would have thought there would be a MO owner so close by. Thanks for the offer John! I will PM you.

I am pleased to say that I met up with John (John048) this past week to chat and of course try the MO on and check it out in person...I absolutely love it. Thank you again John for the opportunity and to those who chimed in with their suggestions. I'll be ordering one in early January. I can hardly wait...

Hello MrCheeky. I'd be curious to see a wrist shot when you get your watch. It appears that we have the same kind of wrists and I too have an eye on the MO.

    regards

Just chiming in here because the Stowa MO in roman is the watch I would buy instantly right now if I could try it on for size and see if it fits. My wrists are similar in size to OP and this is a big concern of mine.

I think its awesome you were able to meet up and try it in person. Cheers to John for being a great sport and letting OP try it on for size.
    Wonderful community.

I also look forward to pictures to see as I have the exact same concern. I had a watch previously where the lugs hung out over the top and bottom of my wrist and it just didn't look right. The 41mm isn't as much of a concern to me.
