Very nice, can you post any details on the equipment used such as lens or lightbox?

    Re: MO movement pic

I'd like to preface everything with the following:

    • I know absolutely nothing about taking photographs
    • I know only a tiny bit more about watches

The background for this is that I saw some photos from this guy called Mocafico (http://www.guidomocafico.com/) and thought how cool is that. Not having what I presume to be an obscene amount of money to buy an original of his, I figured I'd start practicing and taking my own. This is one of my first attempts. I found out that Kinko's can blow up a photo (up to 48"X36") and print it on canvas for about $150.

I bought a photek light enclosure, a couple of 100w desk lamps, and a small desktop tripod. I shot the pics with my Canon SD870IS. It may take some time, but I think I'll get better and make my own 'art' for my office wall. I like the rich, vivid images produced by a lot of the smaller Canon compacts. Maybe I'll get good enough to get a better camera...

    Thanks for asking,

    Thorsten
