    Most classic Stowa

Hi there, I'm new to the world of Stowa. I'm thinking about ordering one, but I can't make up my mind. In a word, I want the most classic Stowa possible. Personally I think that is the Marine Original (although I tend to like the Roman with a brown strap). Opinions??

Not quite sure what you mean by "classic." In my opinion, the most quintessential Stowa is the Airman.

I´d say the Antea is the most classic - Bauhaus.

...depends on how you define "classic": style or time?

    Re: Most classic Stowa

This question is too subjective and vague. For what purpose? If there were one classic kind of "watch," then I guess most people would think of the Antea (as has been previously suggested). But I think that all of the Stowas have a historical thread running through their designs--certainly some more than others, mind you. It also depends on what era you define as classic. I'd say that the FO and white-faced MO are both classics from their era. And the Seatime is a classic of a kind as well. Sounds like you're attracted to the line for this very reason... No?

I'd say the Marine Original (white dial with arabic numerals) or Fleiger Original (no logo).

I agree with Mike. The Antea gets the vote from me for this.

I believe, everyone is right - from their point of view.
Not wanting to throw in another opinion, I show some real "classic" STOWA's:

Only important is, you choose any STOWA ,

That depends on what is meant by 'classic'.
I believe one of the philosophies of the Stowa brand is to produce modern updates of its own classic designs. That was stated by Jorg himself in one of the threads. If you go to http://www.stowa.com, you'll see pictures of their historical designs in the top row and the modern versions on the bottom, which stay fairly true to the originals. So you could say they're all classic.
However, if you mean 'classic' in the sense of being perceived by the general population as representative of a well-known traditional wristwatch design, that would probably be Antea and Marine Original (white, arabic), with Antea having a slight edge due to its smaller (classic) size.
