My KS on a NATO experiment

Because I need a fabric watch band to protect my leather Stowa band during the summer, I picked up a Smart Turnout Nato from J. Press. I have mixed feelings about the results. The colors work, but the NATO is too much for this kind of watch. I don't care for the extra rings and the length of strap that one folds back. Why did I buy the NATO? Because I did not find a non-NATO ribbon strap with a stainless steel buckle, and I did not want to put a strap with a gold-colored buckle on a stainless steel watch. If any of you know where I can find a simple stainless-steel ribbon strap, please let me know. Anyway, here are two snaps from my cell phone.

Colors look good, but I agree that it just doesn't work with the KS.

BTW... what is a ribbon strap? I would be happy to help find one as I have little else to do right now but hang out on WUS!

Not sure it does work. Ever thought to get a dark blue Morellato "Techno" or a dark blue Marcco (both textile).

    Kind regards

I don't think the "Nato" style works with the "Antea".
If you want to protect the Original Stowa strap - what is wrong with getting a 'better value' third party leather strap for the summer months.
Or a normal fabric/canvas strap - plenty of people search these out as they object to leather on principle
Or a metal bracelet of some description ?

My black Antea works on Stowa's Milanaise mesh - not so sure it would work as well on the lighter face of the KS.

I believe the mesh will go with any color face (light or dark as above).

The mesh is lovely but too expensive. I still like the idea of a grosgrain or other kind of ribbon strap, something like this:

    J.Press : Accessories | Watch Bands

I just need to find that with a stainless steel buckle. Or do you disagree with the whole ribbon thing?

@stuffler: that morellato looks good. I'll do some googling.

Of course, if I keep buying different straps to try them out, I'll end up spending as much as I would if I just got myself a milanaise...

    @stuffler:

Yes, these Morellato's might be just the ticket, particularly given the price. 13 euros for this one: Watch strap 18mm dark blue Techno textile look MORELLATO

You are a terrific resource. Thank you.

Something tells me that strap wouldn't work so well on a KS! :)

    Lovely watch. Lovely setting.

How about a Perlon strap? Here's a vintage Omega I had on Perlon. Maybe it will do the trick on your Antea?
