    My new Stowa Flieger Automatic

Well, it finally arrived last week and it was quite a surprise.
The last time I spoke to Regine via email I was told it would ship out at the end of the previous week and low and behold I received it the next day.

What can I say about this watch that has not been said hundreds of times, over and over again. It's a beautiful watch. It's simple, subtle, elegant, casual and the attention to detail is quite impressive.

I have been a fan of the Flieger style watches for quite some time. I think the first time I really took interest in one is when I saw an IWC Mark XV in a movie. For years the look of that watch just stayed with me in my memory banks until one day I stumbled across WUS . I did a bit of research and was inrtigued by the history of Stowa and then I looked in to the IWC. Realizing that the IWC was waaay out of my reach I decided to aim for the Stowa Flieger Auto.
Within a day I decided to order the watch, I think it was in early February, I waited patiently and last week the watch finally arrived.

I was very happy to finally have my Stowa.

    Now on to some pictures.

Excuse me if they are too large and if the quality is not the greatest. I currently do not own a DSLR but a P&S.

    Excellent, congrats.

    It just screams "understated quality"

Yeah, really nice watch. You're preaching to the choir here of course, but I love the picture of your Stowa iPhone app running in the background.

Congrats, Harrym71! My Flieger COSC also arrived. Will post a picture or two of another Stowa that ended up in Canada soon!
