My pick for my "Dad" watch - Stowa

Just came in from a member purchase.

Looks good on my wrist and feels light. A little concerned that I'll scratch it up but I do plan on making this a regular in my rotation. It gets a spot in the honorable first row in my jewelry box :)

    Nice choice.

I'd say it's a marine automatic, white dial and polished case.

Looks like the Marine Classic 40 Arabic with date window, though I couldn't tell you if the movement is automatic or manual

Congrats! The pic is a lesson in optical illusions as your 40mm Stowa Marine looks as large or larger than your 44mm Sinn U1.

Am I missing something? What’s the ‘dad’ reference all about?

Great choice! I've always liked the Marine Automatik ... it has such a simple, timeless design and looks great whether you're wearing a suit or jeans and a tshirt. One question, though ... By "dad watch," do you just mean something grown up? Or did you get this watch to commemorate the birth of a child? If the latter, then please accept my additional congratulations!
