    Size looks perfect to me, although you’d probably be able to get away with the 40 as well.

    I’ll cast another vote for Colareb. I have one of their straps that I wear on my diver sometimes. Great strap for the price.

    Although a 40 mm would have worked, I think the 36 mm looks great on your wrist! Keep in mind that large watches are a relatively new trend ... for most of the last century, men's wristwatches were in the 34 mm to 38 mm range. So, this is purely a matter of personal preference. If you like the way it looks, that's all that matters.

    Regarding the strap, I too am less than enthused by it. I have a couple straps from WatchGecko and have been pleased with their price and quality:
