Well, "facts" were/are not really being questioned here, so even if the op ("badgerracer"; was post #1 before the new and old threads were merged, is now post #27) and others did or did not look for/see that website detail, "badgerracer" did alert others (again, in 2019, since the old thread was from 2017, no harm/no foul) to the program, expressed genuine enthusiasm, provided a location, offered to meet, even offered coffee, all of which seems nice and actually kind...so the dismissiveness of that post felt a bit harsh.

Ha ha. Looking at the map (for USA, I do not know where you are) it seems that almost everyone is the only one for miles around.

Only one member each listed in major cities like LA (where I am), NYC, Chicago, SF, Denver, Phoenix, Philadelphia (DC has several though) so I guess you might not be so alone in feeling so alone.

    Indeed.
Clearly Austin comprises a highly sophisticated, fun-loving, direct, straight-forward, practical, rational, honest and fair-minded population....

I vouch for fun loving for sure! We usually meet up and discuss Stowa watches over a frosty Texan beverage.

I have heard, through the proverbial grapevine.
Apparently the discussions you all have are quite civil, respectful, genuine, welcoming, informative, and not petty, petulant and/or provincial at all...it really sounds ideal, certainly far too uncommon in so many other instances, even local.

I have a dear friend from Austin (who moved back there a few years ago since he/his (also Austinite) wife missed it so much), who even while he was working here in Los Angeles would drink, with great enjoyment, only one of two "frosty Texan beverages": Dr. Pepper or Shiner Bock. Nothing else. Both, very often, especially on (great fun) trips out to Marfa, TX.

N.B.: I like your avatar, even if I do not know what it specifically is or signifies.
