    Not Too Sure About This

Ordered a light-coloured strap for the FO and it arrived today:

I think it may be a bit too light for this piece. Yeas/Nays welcome!

I can always use the strap on something else I suppose...

I think you're right......I'd try something darker or put a little oil on that one. The watch itself seems to shout a for vintage darker look.

As personal taste I would suggest a strap dark brown; in my opinion (is what I selectd on mine FO) a tapering strap (22 at the lugs and 20 at the buckle) and a thinner one would put in more result the watch.

I agree - I think darker would look better, but I would bet that this band will look awesome once its broken in...

Thanks, folks! General agreement -shared by my wife, too. I'll try to darken it up a tad without staining the stitch too much. I think it might look a bit better in the warmer, sunnier months too.

Not my cup of tea to be honest. I'd try a darker strap.

Maybe try a much darker strap on the FO and use that light one on a different watch. It completely detracts from the FO

We are not alone... as there are folks that've experimented with so many straps, they don't know what to do with them all!

The Stowa old-style brown strap that fits the Airman/FO is about as light as I'd go...

I'll post an image of it later, time permitting. In the meantime, there are some images of that strap on the Stowa site.
