    Owners of Black Forest (partII)

After more than a year since this special Flieger, let's see what are the feelings of the owners so far.Pics are always welcome i think.

I'm Stil quite impressed with mine,i love the overall feeling, the size, the black & orange contrast.Quality is great,DLC coating so far seems tough enough for everyday use with zero scratches.
    Accuracy is at +8 sec/day.

Luminosity is vey weak but i can live with it as long as the dial is so gorgeous to my eyes. The OEM strap is nothing special too,but quite comfy.

    A very unique Stowa model!

This is like a special piece for me, only wear casually,

Its cool like you said, but i find it really hard to match in with my wardrobe.

Those are great looking watches that don't always get the attention they deserve.

I really enjoy mine. I sold my 2801 Flieger after this one arrived since this one is more unique.

    Owners of Black Forest (partII)

Four of these black forest Fliegers appeared on today's Basel sale (In a non-dlc steel case) and were sold out within minutes! So I missed out yet again! Grrr!

But what has given me is hope is the description on the stowa site:
"In 2015 we launched a 200 pieces limited Edition in a black case and we sold them very succesfull. Unfortunately we couldn´t deliver all watches in the black case. We then decided to produce the watch in a pure stainelss steel case. From this watches we have again produced a few pieces we are selling now - this watches are not with discount !. If the watches are sold out we can produce a few more after your request. (Maximum 200 watches in black or stainless steel case will be built!)

For this model there are 4 watches at this moment available.
    special design: stainless steel case"

So I'll be writing to stowa shortly to ask for a stainless steel piece! Fingers crossed.

    Cheers, Wen

Re: Owners of Black Forest (partII)

As much as I want a SS, the decision to reissue will not fare well with current owner. Stowa better a way to differentiate. Eg, no LE no etc.

Hmmm, I see your point, but it's a different case finishing and the movement pictured for the steel version doesn't appear to be "black coated" either, so the dlc will still be a LE.

It sounds like some original black forest LE members also didn't get their cases dlc. But no one has chimed up on the forums about this before.

    Cheers, Wen
