Yes, it's frustrating when you have an issue with a new watch.
That said, STOWA has always, always gone over and above in taking care of their customers. It's a small, privileged community that has these watches, and honestly, the customer service is excellent. I think your problem will be quickly sorted, and you'll enjoy the watch for years to come.

I knew that Jorg stood behind his brand and bent over backwards for customer satisfaction, but this one surprised me. Jorg is a better man than I.
Wow, Jorg going above and beyond indeed.
For the OP to post on a public forum, with the intent of tarnishing the reputation of a company with an otherwise sterling reputation, is reprehensible.
I've purchased two Stowa watches, and have recommended their watches to others (who have in turn purchased Stowa watches).
Aside from their rich history, fantastic quality and beautiful designs - what really makes them stand out are the good, honest people that run the company.
For all these reasons Stowa is one of my favorite watch companies.
On a side note - Jorg, please make a 40mm flieger sport model so that I can buy more of your watches. Also with a bracelet. That would be my perfect everyday watch.
So the OP has never returned to tell us his positive outcome?
