    Questions regarding my Stowa Flieger Airman

    Hello all,

    I own a Stowa Flieger Airman and have a few questions:

    1. What does the word "Anforderz" mean on the rotor?
    Google translation doesnt have a word for that.

    2. What does Anfordez FL/OL/AUT mean?

    3. How can I know if my watch is a COSC certified piece?

    4. Why doesnt my model have a Stowa logo engraved on the crown?

    5. Can i send the SS case for PVD?

    Thanks all.
    FMF.

    If you have a COSC movement it will have a serial number on it that matches the serial number on the certificate that comes with the watch!! None of the Flieger watches have logos on the crown, at least none of the ones that I have seen.

    Why would you want to PVD your beautifully finished Watch? Stowa does not offer this service.

    I believe the FL/OL/AUT means:

    Flieger
    Ohne Logo (no logo)
    Automatic

    Might be completely mistaken, however. Also, if your watch has a COSC movement I believe what you can see in the display case back is more decorated, i.e. Cote de Geneve and blued screws.

    A Top movement will be highly decorated with Cote de Geneve and Blued screws, so decoration alone is not indicative of a COSC movement!! It must have the serial # engraved on the movement!!! The logo is missing on the onion crown watches.

    Re: Questions regarding my Stowa Flieger Airman

    Anforderz = Anforderzeichen = The ordinance number of the watch, the WW II B-watches had the Anforderz. FL23883

    FL = Flieger
    OL = Ohne Logo (no logo)
    AUT = Automatic

    If COSC: You have a COSC certificate
    Kind regards

    Dear Mike,

    If it were bought used you might not get the certificate, so the only way to know for sure is in the serial number on the movement itself!!!!

    Dear KKWPK,

    You are right, I believe the standard crown has logo and the onion crown does not. I have a flieger b with onion crown and there is no logo on the crown.

    Renisin. You are right. Onion crown does't have a logo. I have a standard crown in my watch.
