    I'm talking about the small meter inside the "swan neck" regulator like in this borrowed picture. There are also some FO1 watches with the same movement with nothing inside the swan neck. What's the difference?

    I'm sure the movements are the same, but why is it not present on some, like this one? Did the later serials have it? Maybe custom order? Thanks

    As you can see the balance cock is also different and engraved which has been explained by another member some time ago:

    FOLE = original limited edition with gold bridge (read balance cock)
    FO1/2/3 = serial production (although limited due to movement availability).

    FO1 = FOLE but without gold bridge and only sapphire caseback (approx 70 made)
    FO2 = FO1 without swan neck (approx 60 made)
    FO3 = FO2 with solid caseback (approx 70 made)
    Kind regards

    Hi Dave,
    Hi Mike,

    if I remember correctly, there was an issue with the company that goldplated the balance cocks: They couldn't ship the whole lot of 80 pcs. and had to produce a second batch.
    Customers, waiting for their FO L.E., were asked by STOWA if they wanted to wait for that second batch or get the FO L.E. with the serial (non gold plated) balance cock.
    The balance for not getting the gold plated cock was about 100,- €.

    That's, what I got out of my memory,

    Volker

    And they had option to change it to gold plated balance cock later.

    Am I right?

    They could choose: Replacement or saving money, AFAIK,
