To Rivet or Not to Rivet...

    ...that is the question.

What are your collective thoughts on this most traditional pilot watch strap motif for the Stowa Flieger Klassik 40?

Both of these beauties are from B&R Bands. Does anyone have these or similar on their Flieger?

With or without rivets - tapering is not my cup of tea. Makes a 40mm dial look smaller. I‘d try a Hirsch liberty instead.
    Kind regards

I have a smooth calf Rios Typhoon on my 42mm Hanhart Pioneer One. I wish I could find a brown one as well, its a great strap but the commonly available buffalo leather versions are not nearly as nice looking. The Typhoon is not available with rivets which is okay with me, I think it looks great without them.

In a related matter, does anyone make a non-tapered black strap with black hardware?

I think both look good, maybe go with the rivets for a different vibe

IWC uses tapered straps on their pilots and they look great. You won't see the taper because it will be under the wrist.

I like rivets for traditional fliegers but the non rivet looks good as well.
